Visual reference desk
Chapter-matched gameplay with the exact location, objective, landmark and mistake to avoid.
- OBJECTIVE
- Catch a low-level route Pokémon without knocking it out.
- LOOK FOR
- The wild Pidgey's red HP bar and the Poké Ball in flight.
- DO THIS
- Reduce HP into red, then throw the ball instead of spending another damaging turn.
- AVOID
- Status is optional this early; another attack can remove the catch entirely.
- OBJECTIVE
- Collect the Card Key so the locked gates no longer block the Giovanni route.
- LOOK FOR
- The Rocket Grunt, red route overlay and the item ball at the east end of the corridor.
- DO THIS
- Step on the nearby warp tile, step back immediately, then approach the item from the open lane.
- AVOID
- Do not leave Silph Co. without the Card Key; the elevator alone cannot reach the required rooms.
- OBJECTIVE
- Push each Strength boulder onto its switch and keep the route open to Indigo Plateau.
- LOOK FOR
- The round boulder, pale floor switch and stairs on the raised ledge.
- DO THIS
- Save before the puzzle and plan the push direction; a wall-side mistake requires resetting the room.
- AVOID
- Do not push the boulder into a corner that leaves no tile behind it.
Authentic gameplay: captures come from the OldGames emulator when available and are checked against credited editorial references when needed. Every frame is assigned only to the chapter it actually depicts. No AI-generated gameplay artwork or recreated mockups are used.
